Snipper does not open
Look for the Snipper icon in the macOS menu bar. Opening Snipper again from Spotlight brings its capture panel forward.
Capture is blank
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording and enable access for Snipper.
Change save location
Open Snipper Settings → Save, enable automatic saving, then choose your preferred folder.
Keyboard shortcut
The default shortcut is Command + Shift + S. You can change it under Snipper Settings → Shortcut.
Before contacting support
- Confirm you are using the latest available version.
- Restart Snipper after changing Screen Recording permission.
- Include your macOS or mobile OS version and the steps that caused the issue.
